We’ve arrived at 2013. My God, how time flies. Judging from my previous post, it whizzed by at breakneck speed. :)
As I’ve mentioned, I have learnt a lot in between this post and the last. Applying what I’ve learnt though has been an arduous task. Business leaped as soon as we left the seminar which resulted in me having less time to actually sit down and review what needs to be done. I know, this sounds like another excuse but life just finds a way to get to you.
Nevertheless, I’ll have to consciously make a decision to review what I’ve learnt and actually take the baby steps needed to start my journey to wealth. Wish me Luck!
On a side note, I’ve written down some mini goals inspired by Emma Chapman of A Beautiful Mess fame. Last November, she laid down four simple goals to achieve for that month. Considering I’ve got the motivation and attention span of a fish, I’ve decided to focus my goals one month at a time just like Emma.
Here are mine for January 2013:
1. Write for 20 minutes, 3 times a week. (Yes, this was inspired by her as well) A blog post, a couple of tips, a fictional story. Anything. As long as I WRITE.
2. Read the Quran, at least 3 times a week. I find that this brings the most peace and clarity than anything else I usually do. Even a few sentences make all the difference.
3. Drink between 3 to 3.5 Liters of water a day. Water, the cure for most illnesses and yet, the hardest thing for people to be consistent in taking. Apparently you need to take 7% of your body weight to get to your optimum body water level. If you’re quick you will roughly know my weight now. ;)
Well, you’ll probably be seeing me more often here now since I’ve committed myself to writing a little more than I usually do.
Do you have any goals or resolutions? Have you broken any of them yet?
